I had it in my head that picture taking would get easier once she could sit up on her own. (Go ahead you mammas out there -- laugh at me, I can take it.)Good grief. This baby has places to roll to, things to put in her mouth (like the sheet she's sitting on, or her dress, or just her fingers), and I think she knows that if she gets fussy the photo session ends.
I finally conned her with a stuffed bear that was quickly taken away before (and promptly returned seconds after) the picture was taken.
And she's not even crawling yet! : )
In any case, here's the official 7th month picture and highlights.
It seems like the summer is just flying by! This month, Sydney has learned to get around by rolling over and by scooting on her back. She is very aware of her surroundings and will cry if she wakes in an unfamiliar place (unfortunate timing for our Houston trip -- she was always waking up in a new place). She is eating all kinds of solid foods and has even started some finger foods. We took a trip to Houston at the end of the month and she had her first museum and zoo trips, as well as visits with many family and friends. She has two teeth and seems to be working on another as we speak, but consider that an unconfirmed rumor for now! Her favorite thing to do is play on the floor these days, and put anything and everything in her mouth.
