5 Months Old

Sydney is officially 5 months old today. She has rolled over a few times, but isn't interested in doing that particular trick often. She does magically change her position in her crib, but only when we aren't looking. She is soooo close to sitting up on her own -- she can pretty much manage it for a minute or so when she isn't too tired. About two Sundays ago, she added a high pitched shriek to her list of available sounds (Pastor didn't seem to mind too much). Her favorite toys are the piano in her crib (still on the list of favorites after three months), and her newest discoveries: links (they are pretty much the only toys she can wrap her hands around) and this bumble bee sitting on a stuffed flower with lots of textures on the petals. Very tasty!

This is the first month we haven't taken her in to the doctor, so all I have for measurements is our extremely imprecise home measurements. So, I would say that she's approx. 14 lbs. and 26 inches.
