Sydneylocks and the Three Bears

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sydneylocks. She was out in the woods, with her friends the three stuffed bears (who always stayed in the pockets of her apron), when she came to a house. After asking her mother if it was okay, and politely knocking on the door to see if she could enter, she went inside.

Inside, she found a bowl which she was told had porridge. "Why, there's nothing in this bowl," she thought to herself, "But it rude not to at least try some."

"Yum!" she said to herself, "this pretend porridge is just right!"

And so she ate and ate and ate.

Until it was all gone. (But really, since it was special pretend porridge, she really had left the bowl just as she found it, so no harm done.)

Next, she tried sitting in a chair. "This chair is very hard, and really it's too big, but luckily I'm not an overly picky person," she said to herself as she and the bears rocked back and forth.

After the big meal and the hard work of climbing into an oversized chair, Sydneylocks decided to take a little nap. The bed was very tall, and the pillows too soft, but she found by being adaptable and sleeping in the middle of the bed, she rested just fine.

After her nap, since she had not damaged the house in any way or even trespassed, she didn't need to jump out of windows or run away, so she just walked back home the way she came.

Happy Halloween!

  1. That is SO CUTE! She picked out the perfect costume. :)

Was she really asleep in the picture, or did you have her pose?

  2. That is actually her "closed eye laugh" -- she WOULD NOT stay still on the bed. I kept putting her on the pillows and then as I pushed the button on the camera, she would LEAP forward on to the middle of the bed. That was actually the only picture I got that wasn't a motion blur!

  3. So cute and sweet... almost enough to make me wish I had tried again for a little girl! OK not quite enough, the 3 boys were just right... not too much and not too little! hehehe

  4. You have just the cutest little girl ever. And it will be even cuter to watch her be a big sister.
