Labor Day at the Waco Zoo

 

Labor Day was perhaps the first truly nice day in almost four months.  We took advantage of the nice weather to go to the Waco Zoo.

Sydney really enjoyed the chimpanzee and orangutang play area (which is to say, a play area where you can act like a monkey, not an area where you actually play with monkeys).

  

I honestly usually skip this section.  It has a loud waterfall that bothered Sydney's ears like a year and a half ago when she was still uber sensitive to loud noises and it's one of the only sections of the zoo that you have to double back on to leave and somehow leaving my main circular path to go through this subsection offends my sense of order.

Mostly, though, Sydney and Jack both really enjoyed taking pictures at the zoo.  They took turns with their camera and did a great job.  I enjoyed that since we had two cameras, Jeremy could get this picture of me holding Sydney...
