Half Birthday

Tomorrow is Sydney's half birthday. As is our custom, we spent a day going where the half-birthday child wanted to go and then went shopping and bought presents.

First, though, we had to do the car wash, which for some reason, is one of our favorite things to do as a family.

Then, Sydney's big request for the outing was to go to the Playscape, so that was our next stop.

She and her brother had a lot of fun swinging, hanging, and running around together.

After Playscape, we went to lunch at Chick-fil-a, also her choice and then on to Kiddie Acres, where she had her fourth birthday party and I'm really not sure that we have been since (cold weather not being the best for Kiddie Acres).

Sydney rode all of the rides at least once before it was time to go.

She also got to ride the real horses, which, at a cost of three tickets each, we don't normally let her ride.
When we got home, she enjoyed playing with her newest toys, a collection of My Little Ponies that we added to the ones she got from Great Grandma, the ones she earned from her chore chart, and the ones that Grandma sent for Easter. That's a lot of ponies.

The ponies quickly took up residence in the Calico Critter's home, which is often a stand in for Sydney's day care. The ponies were all having nap time, necessitating some impromptu crafting on my part to make nap mats, covers and blankets for every pony.
