Turkey Build

Tonight was the church's annual Turkey Build.

We invited the Hazens to come along for the fun. Sydney and Jack and I did the painting on our turkey and Jeremy assembled it.

Sydney enjoyed the painting process and managed to get a lot less paint on herself this year than she did last year.

Of course "a lot less" is all relative.

After about twenty minutes of painting, Sydney was done, and she and Peter, along with her friend Ava, ran amuck for the other hour and half that it took to paint and build the turkey. Kara joked that Peter is going to think Sydney's church is much better than his since you get to paint and run around at Sydney's church. I think that might be the Children's Ministries Director's Ultimate Plan.

We had a great time at the Turkey Build.

God -- He has been SO good to us this year,
friends (and there just wasn't enough room for ALL of our friends, so know that if you don't see your name there on the wooden stick, it doesn't mean you aren't written on our hearts),

and then each other:
Rebecca (with wedding rings, since I am most grateful for God's use of trials in this last year to strengthen our marriage),
Jack (with a sugar molecule -- the boy likes his carbs),
Jeremy (with the kids since he is most grateful for them in this last year) and
Sydney who said she was most grateful for butterflies.
