We have this family tradition (is it a tradition if you've done it two years in a row?) of going to the zoo at Christmastime, so I think it's only right to start a Halloween tradition of going to Sea World.
When else can you take a picture with Shamu dressed up as a wizard? There was also a penguin dressed as a bumble bee (that's not confusing) and a lot of clever little ways that Sea World gets in the Halloween spirit.

A diver in a skeleton costume showed us that the skulls are filled with fish food instead of brains.
The penguins have pumpkins, which is a really funny and appealing juxtaposition, I think.
Sydney was mostly oblivious to the Halloween elements, though. She just enjoyed the bonus time to wear her costume and take cool pictures.
She became captivated by a family of eels and is pretending to be one of them.
We also got to take in more of the shows this time because without the pull of the water park, we had a lot more time.
It also turns out that Sea World is apparently partnered up with Sesame Street and not only do they have a new Sesame Street show, but in the spring, they are adding the Sesame Street Bay of something that is not pigs, but once Paul misread the sign in that way I can't for the life of me remember the correct word.Since we normally do Sea World in the heat of the summer, it was really nice to be at the park when it isn't absolutely sweltering. It was also fun to find a new way to enjoy Halloween without candy, blood, guts or gore.
