This has been the longest Halloween! I feel like we've been celebrating for days, and we have... the kid's Halloween parties at school on Wednesday, pumpkin carving at the church the same night, Sydney coming up to my school on Friday to do the Halloween parade, Sea World yesterday, and today we went to First Baptist Church for their Halloween festival and then went trick or treating.
Sydney, who is a princess today and not Super Chick as previously reported, wanted to get her face painted as a tiger. I think she must love the open-ended-ness of the dressing up for Halloween.
We met the Hazens at the church and hung out with them for a bit. They had already done the bounce houses when we arrived, so they went out to the carnival games, we did the bounce house, and then we met up again for the "trunk or treat" in the parking lot.
After going to the church, we went down the block to trick or treat at the few neighbors we actually know.
Sydney loves these girls. The one in the front, Angie, is older and is off at college now. The younger one, Allie, is finishing her senior year. I don't know what we're going to do for evening childcare next year.Overall, a fun but very busy Halloween.
